Drew King from Ohio, USA
http://www.artbydrewking.com/

Drew King started his interest in art as a student majoring in painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia where he received a four year Fine Arts Certificate. He continued his education as a student at the California Institute of Art where he majored in film animation. His student film “The Wind” which utilized a technique of paper cutouts on a multi-plane received several awards including a “Student Academy Award” from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Drew has a unique style to his cut paper silhouettes. He uses an unusual application of acrylic and cut paper in his paintings of figures by water. Using a technique of layering the cut paper he achieves a rich texture and great depth of field. Drew King lives and works in Cleveland Ohio. He is presently developing animated greeting cards for the AmericanGreetings.com web site.
